The first half of my early 2020 trip to Thailand was mostly spent in the mountainous northern portion of the country, in and around the popular tourist cities of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. Of the two, Chiang Mai is larger, louder, and more popular than Chiang Rai, which I think I ultimately preferred, even though I only had two days to spend there. The single biggest draw of Chiang Rai, to me, was Wat Rong Khun, or “The White Temple.” I'd seen photos of it online, and knew I needed to see it in person. It certainly didn't disappoint, although it did, in some ways, surprise me. The level of detail in and around the site was astonishing. And perhaps even more astonishing was the fact that this “temple” is now more of an art project than a temple. The original Wat Rong Khun was in a bad state of repair at the end of the 20th Century, but then, a local artist, Chalermchai Kositpipat, purchased it with his own money, and redesigning and rebuilding it has been his life project ever since. All prints ship free. Paper prints and unframed aluminum prints take 1–3 weeks for delivery; framed aluminum prints take 4–6 weeks.

Please specify your preferred finish — glossy, semi-gloss, or matte. If none is specified, glossy will be used by default. For framed pieces, note your choice of Belmont or Antica frame style and color in the comments at checkout, along with any special shipping instructions. If no frame preference is specified, I'll select what I believe best suits the piece.

A museum-quality print on Fujiflex Crystal Archive paper, one of the finest photographic papers available. Your photo is printed directly onto specially coated aluminum, with dyes infused into the surface rather than applied on top. The result is a luminous, almost glowing quality that paper simply cannot match, with exceptional color depth and vibrant detail. A float mount on the back suspends the print off the wall, giving it a clean, frameless, gallery-quality look straight out of the box with no additional framing needed.

The default finish is glossy. If you prefer matte or semi-gloss, you must specify your choice in the comments section at checkout, otherwise your print will be produced with a glossy finish.

If your photo has an edge of 16 or more inches, it will include a signature and edition number.

Aluminum print with visible frame

Your photo is printed directly onto specially coated aluminum, with dyes infused into the surface rather than applied on top. The result is a luminous, almost glowing quality that paper simply cannot match, with exceptional color depth and vibrant detail. The print is finished with a hand-selected Larson-Juhl frame in either the Belmont (rich wood veneer, modern profile) or Antica (traditional burl wood) style. Frame width is determined by print area: prints totaling 900 square inches or more receive the wider profile (approximately 3.5 to 4 inches), while smaller prints receive the narrower profile (approximately 2.5 inches).
