| I visited Bolivia in February, 2024, with the goal of photographing the Bolivian Salt Flats with water on them. I didn't know if I would get the shots I wanted immediately, or if I would have to stick around for a couple weeks. Fortunately, I got the shots I wanted fairly quickly, which meant I had a week left before I needed to return to the US. I used this time to go to Peru, to photograph perhaps the most well-known ancient ruins on Earth, Machu Picchu. I'd visited Machu Picchu in 2006, just as I was getting interested in photography, and it was interesting to see how much had changed, and how much had stayed the same. The ruins were more-or-less as I remembered them, but the restrictions on exploring the site were greater, which I completely understand. Fortunately, it remained an absolutely beautiful place to visit, as I think these photos prove. |
