| I've been to Norway twice. My first visit was with my parents in the late spring of 2023, and while the primary purpose of the trip was to spend time with my wonderful mother and father, I did find the time to take some photos. The trip began in the capital city of Oslo, before we headed by bus and train to Bergen (with some nice stops along the way), and from there, we boarded the Kong Harald – a ship on the Hurtigruten Line. The Hurtigruten is a public transit route that takes people and goods along the coast of Norway. It takes roughly a week to travel from it's southern terminus (at Bergen) to the northern end, at Kirkenes, stopping at roughly 30 towns and villages along the way. It is by no means a luxury cruise, but cabins are available, and it is a great way to get a brief look into life in Norway. My second trip was in January, 2025, and the point of the trip was to get northern lights shots. I didn't see the Northern Lights a single time. I had 100% cloud cover almost the entire time I was there. Oh well, I did the best with what I had, and I did end up getting some great stuff. |
