| Japan had been high on my “must visit” list for years, but it took me until the fall of 2022 to finally make it there. I was an English teacher in South Korea for a number of years before turning my photography hobby into a career, and several of my good friends from Korea were teaching in Japan when I visited. So I decided to make it something of a hub for several months of travel, allowing me to visit this culturally-rich, naturally beautiful chain of islands in several seasons. The fall is filled with unbelievably vivid reds and oranges on the maple trees, and the winter and spring turned out to be equally as impressive! |
