| I've visited California many times, including photo trips in February and March, 2016, while I was working on a project called the LA River Trek with a friend. While in the state, I visited a number of State and National Parks, and was continually blown away by the beauty and diversity of the third largest state in the country. Later visits took me to Joshua Tree National Park, the spectacular Alabama Hills (many movies are filmed here), the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest high up in the Sierra Nevadas, Yosemite, where it dumped a foot of snow on me overnight, only to melt completely by the following afternoon, Kings Canyon and Redwoods National Parks, home to the largest trees on the planet, a return to Death Valley, and some portions of the central and northern coastline. |
