Coral Pink Sand Dunes at Sunset
I took this photo on my second visit to Utah's Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park. The sand, in this photo, looks quite orange, since I took it just before sunset, and the horizontal light changed its color. But rest assured, it is a beautiful pink in the middle of the day. The difficulty in shooting sand dunes is that if anyone has walked on them, the footprints tend to mess up the beautiful, simple lines formed by wind. If you look closely, you can see the footprints of a mouse or some other small creature extending into the frame from the lower, left corner. In this instance, I don't really mind footprints.
