I had a few days in Vermont in the fall of 2022, and was hoping to get some shots of the autumn leaves that the area is famous for. Unfortunately, I was a couple weeks early. It was still worth seeing, but I'm going to have to return another year and hope for better timing. Photographically, it wasn't a complete waste, I did get this shot of the insanely accessible Moss Glen Falls. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60, 48x72.
Whenever I am a within a few hours of Door County, Wisconsin, with a few days to spare and nothing else planned, I'll head that way. It is a great place to camp, ride around on a motorcycle, eat good food at quaint restaurants, and enjoy the scenery. That's exactly what brought me to Cave Point, on the east side of Door County, in the late summer of 2022. I was there on a perfectly blue sky day, which isn't typically great for photography, but it was actually perfect for this photo, since the sky above made the blue waters of Lake Michigan somehow even more blue. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60, 48x72.
I'd visited Glacier National Park, in northern Montana, many times prior to my Summer, 2022 visit. All these visits, however, had been limited to the “main” part of the Park – Going to the Sun Road, and the areas immediately around this spectacular drive. Because of increased visitation, Glacier instituted a “permits only” entrance policy for Going to the Sun Road, and the surrounding, most-popular portion of the park in 2021. Without a permit (I'm notoriously bad at planning far in advance), I decided to visit Two Medicine Lake, in southeast Glacier – one of the other parts of the park that does not require an entry permit. I camped practically on the shore of Two Medicine Lake, and snapped this photo, along with many other beautiful compositions of this lake, on a morning with an absolutely perfect sunrise. I truly don't know that I've ever gotten so many great photos in such a short time. There are a million options for composition here, and you'd be hard pressed to take a bad photo at a place like this with similar conditions. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60, 48x72.
I'd never heard of Scripps Pier until I met someone who'd seen a Peter Lik photo of this iconic La Jolla location and wanted a photo. I didn't have one at the moment he made the request, but coincidentally, I had a trip planned to San Diego and Catalina Island for the following month. I decided I ought to go there and give it a shot. It turned out to be even more beautiful than I had hoped. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle A): 8x10, 11x14, 16x20, 20x24, 24x30, 30x40, 40x50, 48x60.

High Falls of the Pigeon River, which lies half within the United States and half within Canada, is, at 120 feet tall, the highest waterfall in Minnesota. The hike to reach the viewpoint of the falls is a single mile, round-trip, and well worth one's time. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60, 48x72.
I've shot a decent number of photos in Wisconsin, but prior to 2021, they were all in either Door County, or Milwaukee. I decided to branch out and see a bit more of what this state has to offer in the summer of 2021. Pewit's Nest is a bit of a secret spot in central Wisconsin that deserves more attention. It's easily accessible and unique. I'm glad I was here in the middle of summer, when the water was flowing, and warm enough for me to wade out into it. It's impossible to tell from this photo, but I was chest deep in water when I took this photo, with nearly my entire tripod underwater. I was nervous about dropping my camera, but I guess that's why it is insured. Anyway, I got the photos I wanted, and made it out without any mishaps. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60, 48x72, 54x80, 60x90.
I had some art shows in the Midwest in the summer of 2021, and decided to use some of my free time to see what kind of nature there was to enjoy. I did some research of beautiful parks in the area, and decided I'd give the Garden of the Gods Recreation Area, in Shawnee National Forest a visit. The Recreation Area itself is very small – there's a campground and a few miles of hiking trails that mostly weave around through the hilly terrain, and afford one views of the unusual “smokestacks” that rise up from some of the hillsides. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60, 48x72.
I love Shenandoah National Park. Whenever I find myself in the area, I try to get there for a day or two. I was attending some art shows in the greater DC area in the spring of 2021, and when the show ended, I headed to Shenandoah for a few days of hiking and photography. There are a lot of trails in the park, including the 3.3-mile roundtrip hike to beautiful Doyles River Falls. I've seen photos of these falls with a lot more water flowing, and high water volume is often great for photography, but there wasn't a ton of water flowing when I took this one, which meant it was fairly easy to wander out into the river to get a better vantage point without getting washed away. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60, 48x72, 54x80, 60x90.

I was attending some art shows in the greater DC area in the spring of 2021, and when the show ended, I headed to Shenandoah for a few days of hiking and photography. One of the lowest-energy ways to enjoy the park is to simply drive along the Skyline Drive, which runs for 105 miles along the length of Shenandoah, and has 75 overlooks. I'm sure this road can be unbearably busy in the wrong seasons, but on this visit, I felt like I had the park to myself, and was all alone on one of the overlooks (don't ask which one!) when I got this photo. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60, 48x72.

There are a lot of trails in the park, including the short hike to one of the most visited waterfalls in the park – Dark Hollow Falls. It's very easy to get to, and for that reason, taking photos of it can be a bit difficult – there are often people blocking the shot. But a bit of patience paid off, allowing me to capture this beautiful shot. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle A): 8x10, 11x14, 16x20, 20x24, 24x30, 30x40, 40x50, 48x60.

There are a lot of trails in the park, and one of the good ones is to Overrun Falls, the highest waterfall in Shenandoah. This photo is of Upper Overrun Falls, which is about a quarter mile upstream of the 93-foot Overrun Falls. Often times, smaller waterfalls are more photogenic than larger ones, and this turned out to be the case, at least for my photographs of the falls. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60, 48x72, 54x80, 60x90.
Brown pelicans can be found along the coast of almost the entire US (as well as Mexico, central America, and northern South America). In the Florida Keys, they can be found all over the place, and they are fairly used to being near people, which makes them much easier to photograph. Even given their lack of fear of humans, I was surprised by how close I was able to get to this particular bird The detail in this photo is amazing! Available in the following sizes (Rectangle A): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60, 48x72, 54x80, 60x90.
It seems that something like half of the photographers I run into while in Florida tend to show photos of deserted beaches, and egrets with mating-season plumage. I'd wanted to photograph some of these beautiful birds for a few years, and I finally got around to it in the winter of 2021. The best place (for photography, anyway) that I was able to find to photograph these beautiful birds was at the Venice Rookery, in southwest Florida. Great egrets were aggressively hunted in the late nineteenth century to make adornments for ladies hats, but have since then staged a recovery. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45.

I did a lot of camping in 2020, since there were no art shows, and being outside and away from people didn't pose any COVID risks. In late September, I was near Ridgway, in southwest Colorado, with the goal of shooting the changing leaves. I love photographing aspen groves just before they reach their “peak” color. The mix of green and yellow is quite beautiful. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60.
North Clear Creek Falls, near Lake City, Colorado, is kind of in the middle of nowhere, and doesn't get many visitors. But it is one of the prettiest waterfalls in Colorado, and it is a one-minute walk from the parking lot to the viewpoint from which I took this photo. Everything around the waterfall is relatively flat, so you'd never know it was there if not for the signs. It's definitely one of my favorite waterfalls, and unquestionably one of the easiest to photograph. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60, 48x72, 54x80, 60x90.
Colorado's “Million Dollar Highway,” which stretches from Ouray to Silverton, is one of the prettiest drives on the planet. There are numerous jeep and / or hiking trails, lakes and rivers for fishing, abandoned mining towns, dispersed and organized camping spots, and scenic viewpoints along this amazing highway. One of the easiest spots to reach is the Bear Creek Falls lookout, which is a 30-second stroll from the road. If you were to drive past the small parking lot, you'd never know these falls were here, because the top of the falls begins underneath the road, itself. Quite the feat of engineering! Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60.
Colorado isn't exactly famous for its waterfalls, but there are quite a few good ones scattered throughout the state. I'd heard of and seen photos of Rifle Falls for years before I made it to Rifle Falls State Park in the summer of 2020, and finally got this image. I can't think of any other waterfalls that are made up of three distinct streams. Quite a sight. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60, 48x72, 54x80, 60x90.
A whole bunch of Glacier National Park was closed during my 2020 visit, but the short and beautiful Avalanche Creek hike (it's less than a mile … more of a stroll than a hike) was not. I went here first thing in the morning and got this shot. Most of the hike is on a boardwalk, which has good and bad implications. On the negative side of things, it makes taking long-exposure photographs from a tripod difficult, because people walking on the boardwalk twenty or more feet away can shake the boardwalk and make images blurry. It was a good thing I was there early, because later in the day, the boardwalk would certainly have been too busy for this shot to even have been possible. As it was, I had to wait something like 15 minutes in order to find the 15 or so seconds I needed to get this photo. But as often is the case in photography, my patience ended up paying off, and I was able to get this great photo that really shows just how blue glacial melt can be! Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60, 48x72, 54x80, 60x90
I spent some time watching a group of mountain goats from Glacier National Park's Highline Trail during a summer 2020 trip. They wandered around for a bit, but eventually made their way out of the hot sun and onto some cliffsides, where most of them went to sleep. This one, though, kept wandering, and eventually settled on this great spot from which he was able to survey all the land around him. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60.
