Utah State Route 12, which runs 122 miles west to east through Garfield and Wayne Counties, in southwest Utah, may be my favorite drive on Earth. The only other drives that compare and come immediately to mind are Western Canada's Icefields Parkway, and Southwest Colorado's Million-Dollar Highway. This spectacular Scenic Byway goes past Bryce Canyon National Park, and ends at Capitol Reef National Park, going through beautiful desert scenery the entire way. If you find yourself in this part of the country, do yourself a favor and spend a day or more on this unbelievable drive.
