I've visited Sarasota many times, but it took me until early 2022 to finally get a skyline photo. Taken from West John Ringling Causeway Park, this location is perfect for photography, as it allows one to capture the city itself, as well as the John Ringling Causeway bridge. Available in the following sizes (Panorama C): 30x10, 36x12, 48x16, 60x20, 72x24, 90x30, 90x30 Triptych (3 x 30x30), 108x36, 108x36 Triptych (3 x 36x36), 120x40, 120x40 Triptych (3 x 40x40), 144x48 Triptych (3 x 48x48), 162x54 Triptych (3 x 54x54), 180x60 Triptych (3 x 60x60).

I've only visited Rhode Island once, and it was for the single purpose of photographing the Providence city skyline. This unfortunately means I don't really have much to say about either the state or the city. But I will say that the city skyline is actually very pretty, and it is at least in part due to the Providence River that flows directly through town. Cities are almost always more photogenic when a river can be included in the foreground, and this certainly held true for Providence. Available in the following sizes (Panorama A): 20x10, 24x12, 32x16, 40x20, 48x24, 60x30, 60x30 Triptych (3 x 20x30), 72x36, 72x36 Triptych (3 x 24x36), 80x40, 80x40 Triptych (3 x 27x40), 96x48, 96x48 Triptych (3 x 32x48), 108x54, 108x54 Triptych (3 x 36x54), 120x60, 120x60 Triptych (3 x 40x60).

Boston from the Longfellow Bridge
I've spent very little time in Massachusetts (and New England, in general), but when a good friend moved there in 2021, it provided the inspiration for me to finally make it up to Boston. Coincidentally, ever since I started showing cityscape photos in 2019, the number one city request I've gotten is Boston. Why not kill two birds with one stone? I finally made it there in the fall of 2021, and really enjoyed it. I had a bit of difficulty finding the best place to photograph the entire city skyline, but after getting the more traditional shot of the city, and wanting another vantage point, I discovered a nice view from the newly-renovated Longfellow Bridge. Available in the following sizes (Panorama B): 30x12, 40x16, 50x20, 60x24, 75x30, 75x30 Triptych (3 x 25x30), 90x36, 90x36 Triptych (3 x 30x36), 105x42, 105x42 Triptych (3 x 35x42), 120x48, 120x48 Triptych (3 x 40x48).

I had a bit of difficulty finding the best place to photograph the entire city skyline, but this shot, taken from East Boston (very close to the Tall Ship) I can see why so many people have such a strong connection to this historically-rich American city. Considering how many times I've been to Washington DC and the surrounding suburbs, it's fairly surprising that it took me until 2021 to make it to Great Falls Park, in Fairfax County, northern Virginia. A National Park Service site (but not technically a National Park), Great Falls Park is only 800 acres along the banks of the Potomac River, and aside from how easy to reach and beautiful it is, it also has some interesting history, as do so many things in this part of the country. Look it up! I visited a good friend of mine in Avalon, the only “city” on Catalina Island, a mostly undeveloped desert island off the coast of California, in the summer of 2021. The island is accessible by a one hour ferry ride from Los Angeles. To me, this photo looks much more like a southern European scene than anything in the US, but I guess looks can be deceiving. It really is a beautiful city. Available in the following sizes (Panorama B): 30x12, 40x16, 50x20, 60x24, 75x30, 75x30 Triptych (3 x 25x30), 90x36, 90x36 Triptych (3 x 30x36), 105x42, 105x42 Triptych (3 x 35x42), 120x48, 120x48 Triptych (3 x 40x48), 135x54 Triptych (3 x 45x54), 150x60 Triptych (3 x 50x60).
I made a quick trip to southern California in the summer of 2021 in order to visit a friend on Catalina Island. I'd started shooting cityscapes a few years earlier, but had yet to get a shot of San Diego, and this trip provided the perfect opportunity. I'd never heard of Scripps Pier until I met someone who'd seen a Peter Lik photo of this iconic La Jolla location and wanted a photo. I didn't have one at the moment he made the request, but coincidentally, I had a trip planned to San Diego and Catalina Island for the following month. I decided I ought to go there and give it a shot. It turned out to be even more beautiful than I had hoped. I'd never heard of Piney Lake, even though I grew up in Colorado, until I appeared at an art show in Avon, and had several people recommend I go there to take some photos. So I did just that. Having now seen and photographed it myself, I can fully understand the recommendations! What a great semi-secret spot! Available in the following sizes (Panorama B): 30x12, 40x16, 50x20, 60x24, 75x30, 75x30 Triptych (3 x 25x30), 90x36, 90x36 Triptych (3 x 30x36), 105x42, 105x42 Triptych (3 x 35x42), 120x48, 120x48 Triptych (3 x 40x48), 135x54 Triptych (3 x 45x54), 150x60 Triptych (3 x 50x60).

I usually try to find free places to camp as I travel around the country to go to art shows. I'd picked Rice Lake, Iowa out, because I'd read it was a nice place to camp, and it was right along my route. I had no idea if it would be worth photographing, but when I arrived, I realized that if the sunset was good, I could probably get a nice shot. Sometimes a little luck is all you need, and I certainly received my fair share on the evening I took this photo. The clouds were beautiful, and the water was very still – a perfect combination for a good sunset photo. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 12x8, 18x12, 24x16, 30x20, 36x24, 45x30, 60x40, 72x48.
Temperance River State Park, on the North Shore of Lake Superior, is a small but beautiful park along Lake Superior's north shore. Perhaps the highlight of the park is Temperance River Falls. I photographed these falls, but was surprised to see that my preferred photos were taken a couple hundred feet downstream, where the river enters Lake Superior. This photo, to me, epitomizes the subtle beauty of Lake Superior's North Shore. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 12x8, 18x12, 24x16, 30x20, 36x24, 45x30, 60x40, 72x48.
Horseshoe Bay, which lies about 20 miles southwest of the Canadian border on Minnesota 61, looks much like any number of small bays along the north shore of Lake Superior. The waves were small when I visited in the summer of 2021, but the water was not nearly still enough for me to get a mirror-like reflection. Lacking this option, I put a neutral density filter (basically sunglasses for a lens) on my camera, which allowed me to take a “long exposure” of the scene, which gives the water the somewhat “ghostly” look that can be seen in this photo. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 12x8, 18x12, 24x16, 30x20, 36x24, 45x30, 60x40, 72x48, 80x54, 90x60.
A mere 3.5 miles from the Canadian Border along Minnesota 61, which runs along Lake Superior's beautiful North Shore, lies Wayswaugoing Bay Overlook, a small pull off that one could easily drive by without giving it a second thought. But when I visited, I was trying to take things slow, and enjoy all the sights I could. Fortunately, I found myself at this viewpoint shortly before sunset, on a day with some of the best clouds I could have hoped for, the stop proved to be a good one. It's a beautiful area, in general, and one of the most accessible places I know of that leaves one feeling a sense of solitude that is increasingly difficult to find in the modern world. Available in the following sizes (Panorama C): 30x10, 36x12, 48x16, 60x20, 72x24, 90x30, 90x30 Triptych (3 x 30x30), 108x36, 108x36 Triptych (3 x 36x36), 120x40, 120x40 Triptych Triptych (3 x 40x40), 144x48 Triptych (3 x 48x48), 162x54 Triptych (3 x 54x54), 180x60 Triptych (3 x 60x60).
