The scenery around Churchill, Manitoba, Canada – the “Polar Bear Capitol of the World” - is fairly boring, but beautiful in a unique way. It is extremely flat, and although there are trees, they never get very big. And, needless to say, it is cold in the winter. I didn't come to Churchill to photograph landscapes, but on the one sunny day of my trip, I saw this view and couldn't resist getting one nice landscape shot. The sea ice was in the process of forming on Hudson Bay while I was here, and can be seen close to the shore.
