Starting in 2018, I decided to shoot cities when I first visit them, if I have the time. I've appeared at many art shows in and around Dallas throughout the years, but had never found the right spot from which to shoot the city skyline. That is, until a trip to the city in April, 2019. Although the bike and walking paths along the Trinity River, just southwest of downtown don't really feel like the safest place to be wandering around at night with a bunch of expensive-looking camera gear, I decided giving this shot a try was probably safer than being a war photographer. With this (silly) logic, I found several great ways to shoot the Dallas skyline, and I have to admit, it is much prettier than I'd imagined it would be. Truly one of the better city skylines in the country!
