Colorado's Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve was only established as a National Park in 2004 – prior to that, it had been a National Monument. When I awoke in my tent, a stone's throw from the base of the dunes, I looked outside and was initially unhappy with the weather. I'd hoped to get some colorful sunrise shots, but what greeted me was the most dull, gray sky imaginable. I got up anyway, and went for a bit of a walk among the dunes. It had actually snowed a minuscule amount the night before, and this, in combination with the wind, made for some beautiful, if rather bleak sights. Although I converted this photo to black and white, the original, color shot is barely recognizable as being something other than black and white. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30.
Red pandas are among my favorite animals on the planet. They are undoubtedly one of the cutest, and if you haven't ever seen them play before, I highly recommend you dedicate at least a few minutes to a Youtube search for “Red Panda,” or something similar. This is actually one of my earliest shots that I consider to be of high enough quality to justify putting on my site. Available in the following sizes (Square): 10x10, 12x12, 16x16.
