I've driven over Independence Pass, on the way to Aspen, Colorado many times in my youth, but never stopped to get out and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area. I decided to give myself some extra time to shoot Independence Pass during the summer of 2018, en route to an art fair in Aspen, Colorado. I had hopes, but no expectations, for a nice sunset, and when the clouds that I'd seen in the afternoon stuck around until close to sunset time, I began to get more optimistic about my chances of getting a good sunset photo. The colors worked out wonderfully! Available in the following sizes (Panorama C): 30x10, 36x12, 48x16, 60x20, 72x24, 90x30, 90x30 Triptych (3 x 30x30), 108x36, 108x36 Triptych (3 x 36x36), 120x40, 120x40 Triptych Triptych (3 x 40x40), 144x48 Triptych (3 x 48x48).
Hanging Lake, which lies several miles east of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, can be reached via a short, but steep hike. The popularity of this location has blossomed with the population boom presently taking place in Colorado, and it is anyone's guess how much longer it will be accessible to anyone who wishes to visit this majestic spot. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 12x8, 18x12, 24x16, 30x20, 36x24, 45x30, 60x40, 72x48.
Red Mountain Pass, which is part of the “Million Dollar Highway” between Ouray, and Silverton, Colorado, is simply spectacular. A 2-lane highway that lies in a relatively remote area of the state, it switchbacks back and forth before and after the views of Red Mountain, shown here. There used to be a lot of mining done here, and the abandoned building in the lower, right hand corner is one of many such buildings that remain standing in the region. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 12x8, 18x12, 24x16, 30x20, 36x24, 45x30, 60x40, 72x48.
