I had a few days in Vermont in the fall of 2022, and was hoping to get some shots of the autumn leaves that the area is famous for. Unfortunately, I was a couple weeks early. It was still worth seeing, but I'm going to have to return another year and hope for better timing. Photographically, it wasn't a complete waste, I did get this shot of the insanely accessible Moss Glen Falls. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60, 48x72.
Considering how many times I've been to Washington DC and the surrounding suburbs, it's fairly surprising that it took me until 2021 to make it to Great Falls Park, in Fairfax County, northern Virginia. A National Park Service site (but not technically a National Park), Great Falls Park is only 800 acres along the banks of the Potomac River, and aside from how easy to reach and beautiful it is, it also has some interesting history, as do so many things in this part of the country. Look it up! Available in the following sizes (Panorama B): 30x12, 40x16, 50x20, 60x24, 75x30, 75x30 Triptych (3 x 25x30), 90x36, 90x36 Triptych (3 x 30x36), 105x42, 105x42 Triptych (3 x 35x42), 120x48, 120x48 Triptych (3 x 40x48), 135x54 Triptych (3 x 45x54), 150x60 Triptych (3 x 50x60).

High Falls of the Pigeon River, which lies half within the United States and half within Canada, is, at 120 feet tall, the highest waterfall in Minnesota. The hike to reach the viewpoint of the falls is a single mile, round-trip, and well worth one's time. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60, 48x72.
I've shot a decent number of photos in Wisconsin, but prior to 2021, they were all in either Door County, or Milwaukee. I decided to branch out and see a bit more of what this state has to offer in the summer of 2021. In my research, I came across some photos of Willow Falls, in far west Wisconsin, and figured it was worth a visit. Suffice to say, I was extraordinarily happy with my choice, as these waterfalls are quite beautiful. I took this photo with the sun setting behind me, which made taking a long-exposure easy, and the orange sky to the west added a bit of saturation to the orange rocks that surround the falls. Available in the following sizes (Panorama B): 30x12, 40x16, 50x20, 60x24, 75x30, 75x30 Triptych (3 x 25x30), 90x36, 90x36 Triptych (3 x 30x36), 105x42, 105x42 Triptych (3 x 35x42), 120x48, 120x48 Triptych (3 x 40x48), 135x54 Triptych (3 x 45x54), 150x60 Triptych (3 x 50x60).

It's easily accessible and unique. I'm glad I was here in the middle of summer, when the water was flowing, and warm enough for me to wade out into it, although that wasn't necessary in order to get this photo. It's impossible to tell from this photo, but I was chest deep in water when I took this photo, with nearly my entire tripod underwater. I was nervous about dropping my camera, but I guess that's why it is insured. Anyway, I got the photos I wanted, and made it out without any mishaps. I had some art shows in the Midwest in the summer of 2021, and decided to use some of my free time to see what kind of nature there was to enjoy. I did some research of beautiful parks in the area, and decided I'd check out Matthiessen State Park, which lies about 50 miles southwest of Chicago. There are a lot of nice, well-maintained hiking trails, and a lot of waterfalls to be enjoyed. It is a popular park, so getting a photo without a ton of people in frame proved to be difficult. I spent far more time sitting and waiting for a clear shot than I did hiking. But this shot of Cascade Falls made all that waiting worthwhile. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 12x8, 18x12, 24x16, 30x20, 36x24, 45x30, 60x40, 72x48, 80x54, 90x60.
I was traveling through the Midwest in the summer of 2021, and decided to do some exploring. A little bit of research led me to Cataract Falls State Recreation Area, about an hour southwest of Indianapolis. It's a small park, but there are a number of nice hiking trails, and two (perhaps more) beautiful waterfalls, Upper and Lower Cataract Falls. Lower Cataract Falls, shown here, is accessible via a 2 minute walk from a parking lot, and when I visited, there was hardly a soul around. It was a peaceful experience, and I found Lower Cataract Falls to be particularly beautiful. Available in the following sizes (Panorama B): 30x12, 40x16, 50x20, 60x24, 75x30, 75x30 Triptych (3 x 25x30), 90x36, 90x36 Triptych (3 x 30x36), 105x42, 105x42 Triptych (3 x 35x42), 120x48, 120x48 Triptych (3 x 40x48), 135x54 Triptych (3 x 45x54), 150x60 Triptych (3 x 50x60).

It's a small park, but there are a number of nice hiking trails, and two (perhaps more) beautiful waterfalls, Upper and Lower Cataract Falls. Upper Cataract Falls, shown here, is right off the road, and features a beautiful, red covered bridge. Cars are too big and heavy, now, for many of these old covered bridges, but it has now been incorporated into the park as part of a hiking trail. If one goes across the bridge (right to left in this photo) and continues downstream, doing a bit of bushwhacking along the way, a spectacular view of the falls, complete with the bridge, makes itself apparent. I timed my arrival here to coincide with sunset, and while this photo probably would be beautiful at any time of day, the subtle orange in the sky above the bridge really completes the picture. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 12x8, 18x12, 24x16, 30x20, 36x24, 45x30, 60x40, 72x48, 80x54, 90x60.
I love Shenandoah National Park. Whenever I find myself in the area, I try to get there for a day or two. I was attending some art shows in the greater DC area in the spring of 2021, and when the show ended, I headed to Shenandoah for a few days of hiking and photography. There are a lot of trails in the park, including the 3.3-mile roundtrip hike to beautiful Doyles River Falls. I've seen photos of these falls with a lot more water flowing, and high water volume is often great for photography, but there wasn't a ton of water flowing when I took this one, which meant it was fairly easy to wander out into the river to get a better vantage point without getting washed away. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60, 48x72, 54x80, 60x90.

There are a lot of trails in the park, including the short hike to one of the most visited waterfalls in the park – Dark Hollow Falls. It's very easy to get to, and for that reason, taking photos of it can be a bit difficult – there are often people blocking the shot. But a bit of patience paid off, allowing me to capture this beautiful shot. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle A): 8x10, 11x14, 16x20, 20x24, 24x30, 30x40, 40x50, 48x60.

There are a lot of trails in the park, and one of the good ones is to Overrun Falls, the highest waterfall in Shenandoah. This photo is of Upper Overrun Falls, which is about a quarter mile upstream of the 93-foot Overrun Falls. Often times, smaller waterfalls are more photogenic than larger ones, and this turned out to be the case, at least for my photographs of the falls. North Clear Creek Falls Square
North Clear Creek Falls, near Lake City, Colorado, is kind of in the middle of nowhere, and doesn't get many visitors. But it is one of the prettiest waterfalls in Colorado, and it is a one-minute walk from the parking lot to the viewpoint from which I took this photo. Everything around the waterfall is relatively flat, so you'd never know it was there if not for the signs. It's definitely one of my favorite waterfalls, and unquestionably one of the easiest to photograph. Available in the following sizes (Square): 10x10, 12x12, 16x16, 20x20, 24x24, 30x30, 36x36, 42x42, 48x48, 54x54, 60x60.

Colorado's “Million Dollar Highway,” which stretches from Ouray to Silverton, is one of the prettiest drives on the planet. There are numerous jeep and / or hiking trails, lakes and rivers for fishing, abandoned mining towns, dispersed and organized camping spots, and scenic viewpoints along this amazing highway. One of the easiest spots to reach is the Bear Creek Falls lookout, which is a 30-second stroll from the road. If you were to drive past the small parking lot, you'd never know these falls were here, because the top of the falls begins underneath the road, itself. Quite the feat of engineering! Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60.
Colorado isn't exactly famous for its waterfalls, but there are quite a few good ones scattered throughout the state. I'd heard of and seen photos of Rifle Falls for years before I made it to Rifle Falls State Park in the summer of 2020, and finally got this image. I can't think of any other waterfalls that are made up of three distinct streams. Quite a sight. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60, 48x72, 54x80, 60x90.

A whole bunch of Glacier National Park was closed during my 2020 visit, but the short and beautiful Avalanche Creek hike (it's less than a mile … more of a stroll than a hike) was not. I went here first thing in the morning and got this shot. Most of the hike is on a boardwalk, which has good and bad implications. On the negative side of things, it makes taking long-exposure photographs from a tripod difficult, because people walking on the boardwalk twenty or more feet away can shake the boardwalk and make images blurry. It was a good thing I was there early, because later in the day, the boardwalk would certainly have been too busy for this shot to even have been possible. As it was, I had to wait something like 15 minutes in order to find the 15 or so seconds I needed to get this photo. But as often is the case in photography, my patience ended up paying off, and I was able to get this great photo that really shows just how blue glacial melt can be! Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60, 48x72, 54x80, 60x90
There are a lot of fully-established trails in the area around Glacier National Park's Logan Pass Visitor Center, and there are also some that are less crowded, such as the path to Logan Creek Falls. When I visited in the summer of 2020, some of the trails were closed, and others were packed with tourists. In the middle of the day, I didn't feel like dealing with crowds, so I went on the less used path to Logan Creek Falls, where I had this view more-or-less to myself. Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45, 40x60, 48x72, 54x80, 60x90.
Most of my photography steers away from the abstract, but during a 2020 trip to Glacier National Park, when I was hiking along the shores of McDonald Creek, something caught my eye. I'm still not quite sure what it was, but when I looked at this isolated portion of the creek, I was able to envision it as something more like a painting than a photograph. I used what is called a neutral-density filter (basically sunglasses for a camera) to allow myself to take a long-exposure photo and turn the movement of the rapids into something that looks like a painting. Available in the following sizes (Panorama B): 30x12, 40x16, 50x20, 60x24, 75x30, 75x30 Triptych (3 x 25x30), 90x36, 90x36 Triptych (3 x 30x36), 105x42, 105x42 Triptych (3 x 35x42), 120x48, 120x48 Triptych (3 x 40x48), 135x54 Triptych (3 x 45x54), 150x60 Triptych (3 x 50x60).

McDonald Creek, in Glacier National Park, ultimately feeds into Lake McDonald, on the western side of Glacier. Along its route, it is by turns smooth and calm, and then fast and turbulent as it comes down over various features. McDonald Falls and Sacred Dancing Cascade (shown here) are the two most easily accessible, and therefore famous, of McDonald Creek's features. Most photographs of Sacred Dancing Cascade tend to zoom in on the cascade itself, which is understandable because it's beautiful on its own. However, for this photo, I wanted to showcase some other aspects of the cascade, namely the blue- and magenta-hued rocks that lie below the cascade. Coupled with the turquoise water, it really makes a lovely composition. Available in the following sizes (Panorama C): 30x10, 36x12, 48x16, 60x20, 72x24, 90x30, 90x30 Triptych (3 x 30x30), 108x36, 108x36 Triptych (3 x 36x36), 120x40, 120x40 Triptych Triptych (3 x 40x40), 144x48 Triptych (3 x 48x48), 162x54 Triptych (3 x 54x54), 180x60 Triptych (3 x 60x60).
