Ruby Peak in Autumn
Kebler Pass, which runs west from Crested Butte, Colorado, through Gunnison National Forest, is a (mostly) gravel road that, because of its elevation, is closed in the winters. Between late spring and fall, however, it is accessible by any vehicle, and allows those who are interested the opportunity to see some of Colorado's most beautiful aspen groves and mountain scenes. Although the road curves around through aspen groves, from time-to-time, it opens up and allows for views of the surrounding area. This is one such view. I'd noticed it earlier in the day, and figured it would be a good spot to return to at sunset. Seeing how well the lighting worked out, here, I'm glad I did so.
