One can usually tell when there is a bear around in a national park by what is happening with the traffic. If you find yourself in a standstill in Glacier National Park, there's a good chance there's a bear or bears somewhere close by. Such was the case when I hit a “traffic jam” in the Many Glacier area of Glacier National Park in the late summer of 2012. This was one of two bears I saw here, foraging for any and all the calories he could possibly find before winter.
