Tangle Falls - 12" x 18" - $72
This 12" x 18" photo is glossy, and comes with a 3/4" inset frame with wire hanger on the back. The normal cost of this piece is $181, but due to a minor dent (only visible upon a detailed inspection), it is marked down 60%, to $72 plus shipping. Canada's magnificent Icefields Parkway connects Jasper (in the north) to Banff (in the South). It is one of the most beautiful drives I have ever been on. It takes one past countless mountains and waterfalls. While many of the falls it passes are magnificent due to their size, those shown here – Tangle Falls – aren't incredibly impressive, size-wise. But as is often the case, Tangle Falls proves that waterfalls need not be enormous to be photogenic. In fact, I find that smaller waterfalls with layers of cascades are often easier to photograph than their larger cousins.
SOLD - Adolescent Bald Eagle - 20" x 20" - $155
This 20" x 20" photo is semi-glossy, and comes with a 3/4" inset frame with wire hanger on the back. The normal cost of this piece is $310, but is 50% off for this sale, coming to $155 plus shipping. The American Bald Eagle Foundation in Haines, Alaska, is set up to educate people about an American icon – the bald eagle. It was here that I took this spectacular photo of an adolescent bald eagle's head. Notice the white head isn't entirely white. This is because the eagle is young. They are born entirely brown, and their heads and tail feathers only turn white at five or six years of age.
Another Day in Paradise - 36" x 24" - $403
This 36" x 24" photo is glossy, and comes with a 1-1/4" silver, flush-mount frame with wire hanger on the back. The normal cost of this piece is $806, but is 50% off for this sale, coming to $403 plus shipping. This is not one of my typical shots. I tend to shoot at or near sunrise and / or sunset, or at night, when lighting is unusual, or more vivid than normal. But when I was walking along a beach near Destin, Florida, and this incredibly simple scene presented itself, I couldn't resist. A very simple shot, this white sand beach and ocean view perfectly embodies some people's concept of paradise.
Bluebonnets in Bloom - 36" x 24" - $403
This 36" x 24" photo is glossy, and comes with a 1-1/4" flush-mount frame with wire hanger on the back. The normal cost of this piece is $806, but is 50% off for this sale, coming to $403 plus shipping. Every spring, the Bluebonnets erupt in Texas hill country. I happened to be in the area when this happened in 2016, and spent a morning shooting the vast tracts of land that were filled with a multitude of flowers. In addition to the Bluebonnets, a lot of Indian Paintbrushes can also be seen in this shot.
Delicate Arch at Night - 30" x 40" - $397
This 30" x 40" photo is semi-glossy, and comes with a 1-1/4" inset frame with wire hanger on the back. The normal cost of this piece is $993, but due to minor edge damage, is 60% off for this sale, coming to $397 plus shipping. I've visited Delicate Arch, in Arches National Park many times, but in March, 2016, I decided to stay well past sunset in order to photograph this Utah icon at night. I used a headlamp to illuminate the arch itself, and am pleased with the ultimate result.

This 24" x 30" photo is semi-glossy, and comes with a 3/4" inset frame with wire hanger on the back. The normal cost of this piece is $575, but due to minor scratches on the edges of the photo (only visible upon a detailed inspection), it is marked down 60%, to $230 plus shipping. Arizona's Antelope Canyon has become overwhelmingly popular for photographers in recent years. Fortunately, there are several less popular slot canyons in the same area that offer similar experiences. I took this photo in nearby Rattlesnake Canyon, which boasts several arches that cross the canyon.
Panamint Panorama - 48" x 12" - $288
This 48" x 12" photo is glossy, and comes with a 3/4" inset frame with wire hanger on the back. The normal cost of this piece is $575, but is 50% off for this sale, coming to $288 plus shipping. There are no trails to this salty pond in the middle of Badwater Basin, in Death Valley National Park, and finding it was quite a challenge, especially since I tried to do so in the dark, because I wanted to be here at sunrise. All told, I walked about 5 miles on the sometimes muddy, always salty ground, but made it here just as the sun began to illuminate the Panamint Mountain Range. The nearly-full moon completes the panorama.
Moonset at Zabrinskie Point - 48" x 12" - $124
This 24" x 16" photo is semi-glossy, and comes with a 3/4" inset frame with wire hanger on the back. The normal cost of this piece is $310, but due to minor scratches on the edges of the photo (only visible upon a detailed inspection), it is marked down 60%, to $124 plus shipping. Zabrinskie Point, in Death Valley National Park, is a tremendously popular location for landscape photographers. I took this photo just after sunrise, with the sun over my shoulder, illuminating the desert peaks of the Panamint Range, which define Death Valley's western border. Within a couple minutes, the full moon had set, and this photographic opportunity was lost for the photographers who were running late.
Sunset at Zabrinskie Point - 24" x 16" - $124
This 24" x 16" photo is glossy, and comes with a 3/4" inset frame with wire hanger on the back. The normal cost of this piece is $310, but due to minor surface dents (only visible upon a detailed inspection), it is marked down 60%, to $124 plus shipping. This photo was taken just before the sun began to crest the horizon at Zabrinskie Point, in Death Valley National Park. Notice the eastward-facing hillsides in the lower right portion of the photo that have begun to reflect the orange light of the clouds above.
Willet Reflection - 14" x 11" - $62
This 14" x 11" photo is semi-glossy, and comes with a 3/4" inset frame with wire hanger on the back. The normal cost of this piece is $154, but due to minor scratches on the edges of the photo (only visible upon a detailed inspection), it is marked down 60%, to $62 plus shipping. Shortly after sunrise and shortly before sunset are great times to photograph wildlife. This is because the light is frequently bright enough to illuminate animals while hitting them horizontally, which helps to bring out colors that are sometimes obscured in mid-day lighting conditions. Here we see a willet that I spotted in Bolsa Chica Basin State Marine Conservation Area, outside of Huntington Beach, California. It amazed me how still the water was when I took this photo – at first glance, the reflection is almost clear enough to confuse the viewer in regards to which direction is actually up.
Millard Falls (2 versions available) - 16" x 24" - $124 / $155
This 16" x 24" photo is glossy, and comes with a 3/4" inset frame with wire hanger on the back. The normal cost of this piece is $310, but is 50% off for this sale, coming to $155 plus shipping. Due to minor surface dents (only visible upon a detailed inspection), the other piece is marked down 60%, to $124 plus shipping. Millard Falls, which lies roughly a mile northeast of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in La Cañada Flintridge, is a relatively unknown treasure. An easy hike of less than a mile will take one to these beautiful falls, where peace and solitude are abundant.
LA and the Sixth Street Viaduct at Sunset - 36" x 12" -
This 36" x 12" photo is glossy, and comes with a 3/4" inset frame with wire hanger on the back. The normal cost of this piece is $319, but is 50% off for this sale, coming to $160 plus shipping. I took this photo of Los Angeles' Sixth Street Viaduct, the iconic bridge shown here, at sunset, spanning the Los Angeles River, as part of a project I worked on called the LA River Trek. The bridge began being demolished in February, 2016. I took this photo on February 5, 2016, and count myself lucky to have been able to see it under such beautiful conditions as afforded by the day's last light. The replacement bridge, currently known as the “Ribbon of Light,” is scheduled to be completed in 2019.
El Capitan Sunrise - 24" x 12" - $94
This 24" x 12" photo is glossy, and comes with a 3/4" inset frame with wire hanger on the back. The normal cost of this piece is $234, but due to minor scratches on the edges of the photo (only visible upon a detailed inspection), it is marked down 60%, to $94 plus shipping. Not to be confused with its more famous and identically named brother in California's Yosemite National Park, Guadalupe Mountains National Park's El Capitan, in west Texas, is absolutely beautiful when the first light of the day illuminates its western face.
The Window at Big Bend - 72" x 24" Triptych (three 24" x 24" pieces) - $526
This 72" x 24" triptych photo is glossy, and each of the three pieces comes with a 3/4" inset frame with wire hanger on the back. The normal cost of this piece is $1315, but due to minor damage (not visible without a close inspection) to a couple edges, it is marked 60% off for this sale, coming to $526 plus shipping. Big Bend National Park, in the southwest corner of Texas, is larger than the State of Rhode Island, and has three distinct ecosystems: wasteland (the Chihuahuan Desert), mountain (the Chisos Mountains), and river (the Rio Grande). I took this photo of “The Window,” one of the more well-known viewpoints in the Chisos Mountains.
Dusk at Big Bend (Discontinued) - 24" x 12" - $94
This 24" x 12" photo is semi-glossy, and comes with a 3/4" inset frame with wire hanger on the back. The normal cost of this piece is $310, but due to minor scratches on the edges of the photo and a minor dent (only visible upon a detailed inspection), it is marked down 60%, to $94 plus shipping. I took this photo shortly after sunset in Big Bend National Park, in southwest Texas, while there was still enough light to capture the details in both the grasses in the foreground and the mountains in the background.
Sunset at Big Bend (Discontinued) - 36" x 12" - $128
This 36" x 12" photo is glossy, and comes with a 3/4" inset frame with wire hanger on the back. The normal cost of this piece is $319, but due to minor surface dents (only visible upon a detailed inspection), it is marked down 60%, to $128 plus shipping. Big Bend National Park is a spectacular place. I took this panoramic photo looking east as the sun set over my shoulders, illuminating a portion of the Chisos Mountain Range with vivid, orange light.
Great Horned Owl - 14" x 11" - $77
This 14" x 11" photo is semi-glossy, and comes with a 3/4" inset frame with wire hanger on the back. The normal cost of this piece is $154, but is marked down 50% for this sale, to $77. I camped at Cottonwood Campground, which abuts the Rio Grande River in Big Bend National Park in southwest Texas in October, 2016. There were a lot of birds that spent time in and around this campground, including this great horned owl. Spotting him in the first place was quite difficult – without the sky behind him, he was extremely well camouflaged, but once I finally found him, I was entranced, and spent the next hour or more simply watching him, and, as seen in this shot, he spent a bit of time examining me, too.
Sunrise at Big Bend - 18" x 12" - $72
This 18" x 12" photo is glossy, and comes with a 3/4" inset frame with wire hanger on the back. The normal cost of this piece is $181, but due to a minor surface dent (only visible upon a detailed inspection), it is marked down 60%, to $72 plus shipping. Big Bend National Park, in the southwest corner of Texas, is larger than the State of Rhode Island, and has three distinct ecosystems: wasteland (the Chihuahuan Desert), mountain (the Chisos Mountains), and river (the Rio Grande). I took this photo of the Chisos Mountain Range at sunrise, when the horizontal light from the sun turned the mountains a shocking hue of orange.
SOLD - Roadrunner in a Tree - 16" x 16" - $63
This 16" x 16" photo is semi-glossy, and comes with a 3/4" inset frame with wire hanger on the back. The normal cost of this piece is $157, but due to minor scratches on the edges of the photo and a minor dent (only visible upon a detailed inspection), it is marked down 60%, to $63 plus shipping. Roadrunners are a common sight in Texas, but they are more often seen on the ground than in trees. They are beautiful birds, and a lot of fun to watch.
