McWay Falls at Sunset
McWay Falls, which lies directly off Highway One, in Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, on the central California coast, is magnificent. Before a 1983 fire and a 1985 landslide, 80-foot tall McWay Falls plunged directly into the Pacific Ocean, but now this only happens at high tide. This scene was actually difficult to shoot, because of the sensory overload brought about by so many beautiful sights in one scene – a waterfall, a beach, a rocky cove, and sunset light.
