Australia's Outback, which I spent some time exploring during 2009 and 2010, remains one of my favorite places I've traveled. The feeling of isolation one is able to experience there is difficult to replicate elsewhere. I took this photo in “The Nullarbor,” - an amazingly empty plain in Western and Southern Australia, and it may be these very tracks that are part of the longest straight line of railroad tracks on the planet – 297 miles without a single curve.
