Bighorn National Forest, in north-central Wyoming, is a hidden gem. Being a National Forest, as opposed to a National Park, it doesn't get nearly the crowds of nearby Yellowstone or Grand Teton National Parks, but, in my opinion, many parts of “The Bighorn” are just as beautiful. I took this photo in early July, 2017, when the purple lupine were in full bloom. I shot it at sunset, and the clouds above exploded in magnificent shades of pink, orange, red, and purple.
