Every time I go to Capitol Reef National Park, at the eastern end of Utah's beautiful State Route 12, I stop at Panorama Point for sunset. For whatever reason, every time I go here, the clouds seem to point towards an imminent storm, and make for a beautiful sunset. The enormous cliffs that make up the background of this photo are part of a much larger up-thrust called the Waterpocket Fold.
