In the spring of 2016, I was traveling around the country, attending art shows. One weekend, I had a show in Florida, and the following weekend, I had a show in Detroit. This gave me several days to drive the roughly 1,000 miles I needed to cover, so with a day to spare, I decided to spend it in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. One day didn't provide adequate time to do everything I wanted to do, but it did allow me to take this picture of the beautiful Middle Prong Little River, in the heart of the Tennessee-side of the National Park.
