The Scale of Badwater Basin

The Scale of Badwater Basin

Death Valley National Park's Badwater Basin lies at an elevation of 282 feet below sea level, making it one of the lowest above-ground points on Earth. Unusual freeze-thaw and evaporation cycles cause the formation of the oddly-shaped salt formations seen in the foreground of this photo. Several other visitors to Death Valley, in the upper right of the photo, give some kind of scale to the landscape.

Available in the following sizes (Rectangle B): 12x8, 18x12, 24x16, 30x20, 36x24, 45x30.
